Richard Earl Collins Sr.

Richard E. Collins Sr., “Dick”, 96, of Tomahawk, WI passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Tomahawk Health Services. Richard was born November 29, 1928 in Tomahawk, the son of Richard and Rowena (Adams) Collins. He was united in marriage on October 9, 1956 to Doris Menebroeker in Illinois and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2013. Dick served in the U.S. Army in Japan. He was a member of the American Legion Post-93, VFW, DAV, 40 and 8, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Leah Shomada, Cheba, Japan; step-daughter-in-law, Sheri Luse, Rhinelander; step-son, John (Diane) Luse Merrill; Duane Luse, Merrill; Dick was further survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris; step-son, Jim Luse; brothers, Robert, Neal, Butch, David and Thomas; sister, Nancy Collins and Leah Schreiner.

A Memorial Services for Dick will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church, Tomahawk with Pastor Kathy Tulman officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 p.m. to time of service at church.
