Richard D. “Doc” Fagan, 83 of Lake Tomahawk, WI died June 18th at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI. Born March 15, 1932 in Clinton, IA the son of Dwight and Mildred (Ward) Fagan. Richard married Beverly Donahue on November 12, 1955, she survives. Richard was served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955. “Doc” received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Western Illinois University at Macomb, IL. Doc taught in Sabula, IA; Savanna and Rock Falls, IL high schools and taught two years at Massey Business College in Birmingham, AL before becoming the Dean of Business at Highland College in Freeport, IL. Doc later taught at Lakeland Union High School, teaching Business Law, Consumer Economics and Typing. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 318 in Lake Tomahawk and a member of the education association-NCBEA. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
Survived by his wife, Beverly of Lake Tomahawk, WI and 6 Children: Barbara (Scott) Lutz of Rock City, IL; Karen (Al) Perales of Fairway, KS; Steve (Susan) Fagan of Roscoe, IL; Dianne (Jim Hase) Fagan of Wausau, WI; Sandra Christie of Overland Park, KS; David (Vicky) Fagan of Sherwood, WI and by 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren and by his Sister: Marion (Wayne) Tobey of Loveland, CO and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and special friend, Doug. He was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Brother, Robert.
Memorial Services will be Monday, June 22nd at 2:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI with a visitation from 12:00 Noon till time of service.
