Richard "Dick" Fabera, age 71, passed away at his home on April 30, 2019 under the care of Ascension - Ministry Hospice.
Dick was born Aug. 24, 1947 in Manitowoc to Helen (McCarthy) and Charles Fabera Sr.
After graduating from high school Dick served as a medic in the U.S. Army for two years in Germany.
He owned McCarthy’s Tomahawk Floral and Greenhouse in Tomahawk.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Ann (Larry) Nickels of Manitowoc; three nephews, Scott, Steve and Michael; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray and Cathy Reimert, Kris Herman and Mark and Mary Kurth, all of Tomahawk, and John and Jan Anderson of Marshfield; other nieces and nephews, Erin, Michaela, Bryan, Kelly, Sara, Kim and Jeff; his former wife, Sue Fabera of Presque Isle; and his beloved dog, Colbie. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ike; his parents-in-law, Tom and Ruth Jirschele; and a brother-in-law, Tim Herman.
A special thank you to Chris and Erin Thompson and Ray Reimert for taking care of Dick during his final days.
In accordance with Dick’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
