RICHARD KEMPEN
Richard Francis Kempen, 83, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, died in Wauwatosa on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born in Catawba, Wisconsin, on January 28, 1932, the son of Wilbert and Anna (Peters) Kempen. He was a graduate of the Park Falls High School. He was married to Elaine Rose Adomaitis in Kennan, Wisconsin, on June 11, 1955. He owned and operated Richard F. Kempen Construction. He was a member of Saint Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church of Wauwatosa, served on the Building and Grounds Committee there, and served as President of the Men’s Club there. He was a member of the Bricklayer’s Union Local Number 8 since 1951.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; by four children, Richard W. (Linda), Tracy (John) Lind, Dennis (Patricia), and Jean (Allan) Haller; by 13 grandchildren, Larry, Jennifer, Kelly, Kimberly, Daniel, Lauren, Gina, Christopher, Jeff, Alexa, Richard, Lindsey, Jessica; by two great grandchildren, Ella and Austin; and by one brother, Clayton. He is preceded in death by his parents; by 11 brothers and sisters, Walter, Louis Henry, Sylvester, Edward, Clara Florence, Margaret, Cecelia, Rose, and Francis.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 26, at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in the Kennan Cemetery. Friends may call at the church after 9:30 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday.
