Lawrence Rob “Robbie” DeCota
Lawrence Rob DeCota passed away in his sleep in his home Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016. He was a great son, brother, friend, and most importantly, father. In losing him we have lost him love of music, all things Sci-Fi, his passionate and articulate point of view and his immense capacity for speading love and laughter. We wish him to be remembered for his joy of simple things and the deep and loyal love for his family and those he considered family.
He is survived by his true-center, his children, Lawrence “Sam” DeCota, Annabelle DeCota and a young man who made his fatherly heart beat for the first time, Maxwell; his mother Eileen Sisley, father Lawrence “Larry” (Sheree) DeCota; sisters, Amanda, Sarah, Michelle, Harmony and Julia; his brother Kevin and his brothers in heart, Mike Lyons, James Chapman and Luke Bonga, as well as his many neices and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will follow home his beloved grandparents Tess Lyons, Lawrence DeCota, and Maxine DeCota and join there his sister Emily and dearest cousin Autumn.
On behalf of our wonderfully unique and strangely charismatic Robbie, we would like to say, “GO CUBBIES!! And God bless...”
We will celebrate his life with traditional services to be held at the multicultural building in Lac du Flambeau, commencing Friday, Oct. 28 when he arrives at 3 p.m. and ending with his burial services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
Services will be coordinated by Nimsgern Funeral Home in Woodruff.
