ROBERT A. OLSON
Robert Allen Olson, 59, Lugerville, died on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born in Chicago, Illinois,on September 16, 1957, the son of Kenneth and Gloria (Halmann) Olson. He was a 1976 graduate of the Grant High School in Fox Lake, Illinois. He was married to Betty Walker on July 6, 1977, and she preceded him in death on August 1, 2008. He was married to Donna Heitkemper in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 27, 2011. He was employed as a Welder by Omark/Blount/Caterpillar of Prentice for 24 years until the time of his retirement in 2016. He was a member of the Lugerville Chasers Snowmobile Club. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing and hunting, and participating in numerous leagues: trap shooting, horseshoes, darts, pool, and softball.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; by five children, Glen (Jenn Hughes) Olson, Kenosha, WI, Bobbi (Brock Levelius) Olson, Iron River, WI, Tina Jensen, Kimberly, WI, Brandon (Suzanne) Barber, Phillips, and Elizabeth Barber, Phillips; by six grandchildren, Emma, Gary, Lars, Liam, Joe, and Dale; by three brothers, Kenneth (Janice) Olson, Richard Olson, and Kurt (Darci) Olson; and by five sisters, Sharon, Kathy, Debbie (Dan) Tina (ken) and Karen. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty; by his parents; and by one sister, Carol.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 17. at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Deacon James Celba of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
