Robert Anderson

Robert S. Anderson, age 80, of 611 Forest Place, Tomahawk passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Golden Living-Golden Age Center in Tomahawk, following a battle with Alzheimer's. Bob was born on August 11, 1928 in Tomahawk to the late Sever and Clara (nee Reimer) Anderson. He was united in marriage on March 19, 1949 to Frances Hanson also here in Tomahawk. Bob first worked at Tomahawk Bottling Works for 16 years. He later was employed at Nelson's Grocery Store for 31 years as Produce Manager. He retired in 1990. He had been active in the Tomahawk Jaycee's and Tomahawk Fishing Unlimited. He was and avid gardener, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include: Wife, Fran 1 Daughter, Dr. Sharon (William) Handy Grand Rapids, MI 1 Son Sever K. Anderson Plain View, NY 1 Brother, John (Pat) Anderson Tomahawk 2 Sisters, Carol (Bob) White Tomahawk Judy Anderson Montrose, CA Bob is further survived by 2 grandchildren - Amber and Beth Handy. Funeral Services for Bob Anderson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Memorials are appreciated to Northwoods Serenity or the Alzheimer's Association.
