Robert J. Crossman, 82, died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk. Robert was born October 21, 1926 in Waukesha to James and Meta (Liebenthal) Crossman. He married Mary A. Prelozni on June 10, 1950. Robert proudly served his country in WWII from 1944 - 1947 in the U.S. Navy on the US ship Catamount (LSD17). He was a welder/fabricator, asphalt plant operator for Payne & Doland of Waukesha. Robert lived most of his life in Waukesha and left the area upon his retirement to move to the wonderful northwoods, Eagle River where he enjoyed fishing and the great outdoors. Robert is further survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Crossman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park in Milwaukee.
