Robert L. Hollmann, 82, W10192 County Road W, Phillips, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Bob was born on March 4, 1931 in Milwaukee the son of Walter and Emily (nee Zache) Hollmann. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Becker on June 1, 1957 in Elm Grove, WI. After high school, Bob got his start in his trade as a carpenter working with his father's carpenter contracting business, Walter J. Hollmann & Sons. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1951 and was stationed in San Diego, where he served on the ship USS Ekectra. He was honorably discharged in 1953. Following his retirement in 1993, he moved to Soo Lake near Phillips, WI, where he enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and working in his yard. Survivors include, Wife of 55 years, Marilyn Hollmann Phillips, WI Daughter, Julie (Mark Buege) Giersch Menomonee Falls, WI Sons, Scott (Lynn) Hollmann West Bend, WI Greg (Michelle) Hollmann Winter, WI Bob is further survived by a grandson, Justin (Staci Oldeen) Hollmann, and two great grandchildren, Karlee and Karter. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. Funeral services with military rites for Robert Hollmann will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Flowers, in Brookfield. The family will receive friends at the chapel Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00. The family would like to thank the staff of Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital, Dr. Zagata, and the nursing staff for their kind and compassionate care.
