ROBERT WOLFE
Robert James Wolfe, 75, Park Falls, former Phillips Resident, died in the Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls on Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was born on Columbia City, Indiana, on April 9, 1943, the son of Charles and Helen (Gebert) Wolfe. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps in Viet Nam during the Viet Nam War. He was married to Vickie Gaerte on November 20, 1966, in Columbia City, Indiana. Following his military service he was employed by the Zimmer Corporation in Indiana, and then in 1977 the family moved to Phillips where he was employed by the Phillips Plastics Corporation. He later founded, owned and operated R and R Polishing in Phillips. In his free time he enjoyed archery, hunting, fishing, and at different times of his life motorcycling.
He is survived by one son, Robert “Rob” (De Neil), Neenah, WI; by his companion, Patricia Johnson; by three grandchildren, Alaina, Graydon, and Allyson Tafel; by two step-brothers, Rick Coyle, Pierceton, IN, and Mike Coyle, Warsaw, IN; and by one sister, Mary Lou Loe, Columbia City, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie, on January 7, 2009; and is also preceded in death by two sisters, Pat Clem and Barb Shepherd-Hershey.
Memorial services will be conducted by the Lane Kreiling American Legion Post No. 122 and the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post No. 5778 at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services
