Robert W. Manske

November 18, 1958 — November 8, 2023

Minocqua

Robert W. Manske (smilin Bob, captain Bob) age 64, of Minocqua, WI passed away unexpectedly peacefully in his sleep Nov 8, 2023.

Bob was born Nov 18, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from Menomonee falls East High School class of 1977.

After high school Bob gained employment at Scan-Pac Mfg in Menomonee Falls, WI. He worked his way up to plant manager and was with the company until 2008. After his employment ended he obtained his class A CDL with school bus endorsement. He worked for the HoChunk nation Wis Dells as a shuttle driver until 2020 when covid shut even down. Bob drove school bus for 16 years. Currently he worked for Lakeland Area Bus of Woodruff driving route 6LD. He loved his present students and all of his past students.

In Jan 1979 he met the love of his life Patti roller skating. They were good friends. After asking Patti to marry him 3 times, she finally said, YES! He replies, you really will? You really, really will? YES! On Oct 21, 1988 they were united in marriage at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Menomonee Falls, WI. They just celebrated 35 years. Patti never questioned the love they shared. Bob always showed her how much he loved her. The bond they had was undeniable. The love, trust, weird sense of humor and the deep love for God they shared. His in-laws treated him like he was one of their own. As did Bob's parents treat Patti as one of their own.

Bob was a special person. Had a heart of gold. Had the most infectious smile and laugh. Had the look he was always up to something. Great sense of humor and like to share a good joke. Those that knew him well would get it. Great instigator. Bob was a generous, caring, loving and would drop anything for his entire family and friends. He has a calm presence. Big gentle teddy bear. You could talk to Bob about anything, never felt judged and would receive wisdom. He had a zest for life! Bob loved animals. Had a kennel of sled dogs, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, cats and donkey. Half his animals were rescues. He loves to hunt, fish and travel. Alaska was his special go to place. He visited 46 of the 50 states and a few countries. He loved his Tuesday night men's Bible study (iron works) talking and learning about Jesus to enhance his spiritual faith. He enjoyed attending Foundation Church of Woodruff on Sunday mornings.

Bob and Patti raised 3 of their grandchildren. Payton, Deytona and Marlend. He tried to teach them perseverance, boundaries, be a person of your word and to love God. Install a work ethic. Work hard, play hard and travel. They traveled all over the US and cruised. He taught them to hunt, fish, carpentry, drive, cook and the list goes on. He was proud watching all 3 grandkids walk the high school graduation stage.

This year Bob and Patti became empty nesters. As a celebration they were taking an Hawaiian cruise November 25th with his sister Vicki. Bob will be there in spirit.

Bob's final spiritual words written on Tuesday night November 7th, 2023.
