Robert Nicholas Varholik, 74, Phillips, died in the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield on Thursday, December 5, 2019. He was born in Phillips on November 16, 1945, to Nicholas and Marie (Tomczak) Varholik. He was a member of the Phillips High School Class of 1963, and later attended North Central Technical Institute in Ashland where he studied small motor repair He was married to Shirley Osborn in 1977. He had a long and varied working career, he worked many jobs including carpentry, truck driving, and as a handyman. His faith was an important part of his life, and enjoyed reading the Bible. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and tinkering.
He is survived by three children, Daniel (Jaqueline), Platteville, WI, Jason, Eau Claire, and Kevin (Erica), Reedsburg, WI; by 9 grandchildren; by one brother, Dennis, Phillips; by one niece, and by two nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; by one sister-in-law, Janet; and by one nephew, Johnathon.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips on Saturday, December 14, with Pastor Jason Bridge officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.
