Robert 'Bob' Postl, age 82, 228 S. 4th St., Tomahawk, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Bob was born June 26, 1930 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Jacob and Catherine (Krueger) Postl. He married Vivian Smith on July 23, 1949 in Chippewa Falls. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1947 - 1950. Bob and Vivian came to Tomahawk in 1962. He worked in Tomahawk at the A&P Store, and later at Kall's IGA and Jack's IGA. He was also a caretaker with the Lincoln County Housing Authority for 9 years. Bob owned and operated Postl's Popcorn Wagon in downtown Tomahawk and also sold popcorn at the Kwahamot Ski Show for 28 years. He also worked as a carpet installer in the Tomahawk area for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, and was especially known for the rocking horses he made. He was the lone gander in the Christmas Goose in Tomahawk for many years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

Bob is further survived by 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers - William and Thomas, and sister - Margaret Dworschack.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob Postl will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at Krueger Family Funeral Home on Sunday, October 7th from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Rites will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
