Robert “Bob” Storm, age 72, of Tug Lake Road in Irma, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital following a long battle after heart surgery.
Bob was born on September 3, 1943 in Merrill to Harold & Erna (Baumann) Storm. He was raised on a farm in the town of Corning. Bob was a graduate from Merrill High School. He was a 1961 State Track Champion and is still the current record holder in the 440 meter dash. He was a heavy equipment operator for PCA for over 30 years; He retired in 2006. Bob loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and making maple syrup. He loved gardening and enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds. His grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed his raspberries as much as Bob enjoyed growing them. Bob was an avid golfer, and former member of Inshalla. Bob cherished his trips to Alaska to visit his relatives. Currently, Bob was serving on the Lincoln County Sports Club Board. He enjoyed time with his family and attending his grandkids sporting events.

Daughter, Kerri (Mike) Svacina, of Tomahawk, Son, Brian (Cindy) Storm, of Irma; Former Wife & Good Friend, Karen Storm, of Wausau; Sister, Gloria (Bob) Woller, of Wausau; 2 Brothers, William (Charmaine) Storm, of Merrill and David (Waleen) Storm, of Marshfield; Sister in law, Carol Wegner.
Bob is further survived by 2 grandchildren – Kole & Kaylie Svacina, 3 step grandchildren – Michael Svacina, Michael (Haley Schoblocher) Bellile & Heather (Jessie) Tobias and 2 great grandchildren – Nathon & Madilynn Tobias. He is preceded in death by his parents- Harold & Erna Storm; Emil & Dorothy Wegner and Donavan Wegner.
The Funeral with Military Honors for Bob Storm will take place at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church. Visitation for Bob will take place at the Krueger Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 11 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Corning Methodist Cemetery in the Town of Corning.
