Roberta “Bert” Heindl, age 68, of Phoenix, former long-time Phillips resident, passed away peacefully with her family on August 6, 2023. She was born October 6, 1954, in Tigerton, WI, and was the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Salzman) Laars.
She attended and graduated from Wittenberg/Birnamwood High School in 1972. She then attended and graduated from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau. She married David Heindl on April 4, 1976, in Wittenberg. Following their marriage, they made their home in Neenah, WI until 1985, at which time they moved to Phillps, WI. She was the co-owner of Visions in Styling for over 25 years until she retired in 2012. She was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church where she served as member of the building committee. Following her retirement, she made her home in Phoenix, AZ ,where she was able to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Dave, daughter Dr. Brooke DeBoy (Mandy Vieira), son Adam Heindl (Deb Stich), and granddaughters McKenna and Olivia DeBoy. She is survived by three brothers, David Pike, Lawrence (Janice) Pike, and Arlin (Mona) Pike, three sisters, Geraldine Filipiak, Carolyn Thiel, and Karen (Lee) Sickler. She is survived by a brother-in-law William (Betty) Heindl and sister-in-law Suzanne (Richard) Shore.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ruth, her stepfather Dan Milanowski, two sisters, Mary Jane Nankervis and Donna Mae Pike, and two brothers, Leo and Lyle Pike.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on August 12, 2023, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips. Visitation will be held at 9:30 am until the hour of the service. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Phillips, WI.
