Rodger C. Nyberg, age 75, of W595 State Road 86, Ogema, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Golden Living-Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk.
Rodger was born on August 5, 1933 in Spirit, Wisconsin to Clarence and Eveline (Pfalzgraff) Nyberg. He married Beryl Lofquist on July 26, 1958 in Ogema. Rodger was a lifelong Spirit area resident. He had been a school teacher and administrator for 41 years, retiring in 1996 from the Phillips School District. He served on the board of directors for the Price County Mutual Insurance Company in Phillips and the Brantwood Credit Union. Rodger was a member of the Christmas Tree Growers Assn., he loved sports, hunting, fishing, gardening, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is further survived by 8 Grandchildren. Rodger was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Stewart and a grandson, Benjamin.
Funeral Services for Rodger Nyberg will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the First Lutheran Church in Ogema. Pastor Robert Giese will officiate. Burial will follow in the Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services. Memorial's are appreciated to the First Lutheran Church Building Fund.
