Rodney Comeau

Rodney L. Comeau, age 82, of 1024 S. Tomahawk Ave., Tomahawk, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Rod was born on January 8, 1927 in Tomahawk to Lester and Gertrude (Kreft) Comeau. He was formerly married to Colleen Johnson. Rod served in the 82nd Airborne division of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Rod and his father owned and operated Lakeland Motor Company in Tomahawk for many years and later Rod opened Rod Comeau Motors. He was a former member of the Tomahawk Lions Club and had enjoyed vacationing in Florida for many years. He was a member of the Punta Gorda, Florida Elks Club and Moose Lodge. Survivors include: Son, Thomas (Jacque) Comeau Tomahawk 2 Daughters, Patty Mott Florida Jeanmarie Ussery Tomahawk His companion, Patti Darrin Tomahawk Brother, Charles "Skip" (Suzy) Comeau Onalaska, WI Rod is further survived by 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. A memorial service for Rod Comeau will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00. A Veterans Tribute service will precede the services and the cemetery rites will immediately follow the service.
