Roger L. Paulson, age 87, 1134 E. King Road, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Tomahawk.
Roger was born May 1, 1925 in Tomahawk, the son of Parnell and Thelma (Bebeau) Paulson. He married Ila Mae Doucette on April 10, 1948 in Tomahawk. Roger served in WWII from 1943 to 1946 in the 519th port battalion, and received many service awards. He was very proud to have been one of the veterans on the May 7th Never Forgotten Honor Flight to Washington D.C. He ran a construction business with Phil Kleinfeldt and later retired from Owens-Illinois where he worked in maintenance for many years. Roger was a skilled carpenter, mason, and artist. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, and spending weekends at the Theiler hunting cabin, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

Roger is further survived by sisters-in-law, Marion Paulson of Livonia, MI, Betty Doucette, Tomahawk, Marie Doucette, Las Vegas, NV, Virginia Uzzell of Wilmington, NC, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother - Keith Paulson, and 3 brothers-in-law - Dick Carew, Nocky Doucette, and Joe Doucette.
A Mass of Christian Burial with Military Rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. Edward Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends at Krueger Family Funeral Home on Friday, November 23rd from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service to being at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
