Roger Van Strydonk, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2015, at Season's of Life Hospice House in Woodruff.
Roger was born on August 29, 1922 in Tomahawk to Alphonse & Eleanor (Ament) Van Strydonk. He married Joyce E. Larson on September 4, 1942, in Harrison; She survives. Together, Roger and Joyce have seven children. Roger was a Train Conductor for the MT&W Railroad for over 30 years and retired in 1983. He loved playing cribbage, hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling. Roger enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially making firewood and gardening. He was quick with a helping hand, and enjoyed snowblowing the whole block.

Roger is further survived by 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven; 2 brothers, Dick & Erv; 3 sisters, Helen, Romaine & Phyllis.
Memorial Mass for Roger Van Strydonk will take place at 12:00Noon on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. Visitation will take place on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of Mass at Noon.
