ROLLAND CHASE
Rolland Benjamin Chase, 77, Phillips, Town of Worcester, died at his home on Wednesday, March 9, while under the care of his family and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. He was born in Phillips on June 10, 1938, the son of Benjamin and Marion (Murphy) Chase. He was a 1956 graduate of the Phillips High School, and then attended Barber College in Chicago, Illinois. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Kay Anderson, in Phillips on August 15, 1959. He served his country in the Wisconsin National Guard. He co-owned and operated the Beauty Nook Barber Shop with Mary Kay in Mundelein , Illinois, then was employed by Marquip in Phillips, and then by Multitek of Prentice until the time of his retirement in 2003. As a young man he was a member of the JCs. In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and golf. He raised beef cattle, enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by five children, Karen Chase, Waukesha, WI, David, Phillips, Kelly (Dino) Pandya, Rockford, IL, Kris (George) Dallas, Crystal Lake, IL, and Anne Bishop Chase, Grafton, WI; by 8 grandchildren, Alex, Chase, Kelsey, Evan, Hailey, Maya, Brandon, and Jared. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kay, on October 31, 2008.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 25, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Rev. Thomas Reiff officiating. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
