Ronald Linn, age 82, 15 Marinette St., Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk under the care of Aseracare Hospice.
Ron was born May 15, 1931 in Pennsylvania, the son of Raymond and Lucille (Ferrell) Linn. He was formerly married to Mary Ruland in 1951, and later married Carmaine Furhman in 1969 - she passed away in 2004. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in WWII. Ron was a wood and metal lather, and a self employed truck driver. He was also employed with J.I. Case/Drott in Wausau for 11 ½ years. Ron was a past Commander for the American Legion, was the District Sergeant at Arms for four years, and then became the Lincoln County Commander. He was also a past Commander for the Lincoln County Chapter of the D.A.V. He was a member of the American Legion, D.A.V., and V.F.W. Ron enjoyed playing bingo, watching Nascar, camping, fishing, and hunting.
Survivors include: children, Cindy (Romie) Lane, Tomahawk, Larry Linn, New Lisbon, Jerry (Bernie) Linn, Beloit, Mike (Teresa) Linn, Necedah, Tim (Deb) Linn, Lancaster, California.
Ron is further survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives - Mary and Carmaine, daughter - Chris, great grandson - Austin, and sister - Shirley.
A Private Family Service for Ron Linn will be held, with private burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
