Ronald Vedder, age 77, 5216 Willow Road, Tripoli, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 5, 2013 at his residence.
Ron was born May 25, 1936 in Milwaukee, the son of Raymond and Dorothy (Hetch) Vedder. He married Dolores 'Dee' Hebert on August 25, 1962 in Tomahawk. He and Dee owned and operated Vedder's Hunters Inn from 1973 - 1993. He was also employed as a carpenter for Leck Construction, and was a logger in the Pier Willow area since 1960. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and also repaired snowmobiles. He was an avid Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Green Bay Packers fan.
Survivors include: wife, Dee Vedder, Tripoli; children, Tim (Anita) Vedder, Phelps, Paul (Connie) Vedder, Hazelhurst, Ronald (Lisa) Vedder, Hazelhurst, Michelle Vedder, Lacrosse, Leo (Whitney Peterson) Vedder, Prentice. Ron is further survived by nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild due in May. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.
A Memorial Service for Ron Vedder will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Pier Willow. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday the 15th from 12:00 noon until the hour of services at 2:00 PM
