Ronald W. Eckes

Ronald W. Eckes, age 81 of Hazelhurst, WI died on Sunday, September 1st at his residence with his family by his side. Ronald was on May 19, 1938 in Wausau, WI the son of Peter and Erna (nee Boening) Eckes. He married Darlene Ermeling on December 16, 1989, she survives. Ron graduated from Wausau High School and worked for Zimpro as an electrician for many years.

He was a member of Leisure Shores Lake Association, avid Packer and NASCAR fan and in his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.

Ron is survived by his wife Darlene and children Kristi (Jeff) Traska, Bruce Eckes, Dennis (Tammy) Springer, Jeff (Lynn) Springer, Scott Springer and Todd Springer and by grandchildren: Derick Woller, Chelsea Woller Baer, Mike Iozzo, Jamie Springer, Tina Springer and Tanya Springer and by 8 great grandchildren and by his siblings Kathleen Donahue and Gerald Eckes.

He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Erna Eckes and by his brother Roger Eckes and sisters Margaret Urbanski and Lucille Markstrum.

Memorial Services for Ron will be held on Friday, September 6th at 12:00 noon at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI with a memorial gathering from 11:00 am till time of service.
