Ronney William Beets, age 75, resident of Hazlehurst, WI, died late on Thursday, August 11th ,
at home with his family.
Ron was born on December 29th, 1940 to Tony William Beets and Margaret (Adams) Beets in
Baxter Springs, Kansas and is survived by his sister, Violet (Beets) Fager, of Waukesha, Wisconsin and joins his parents and sister, Kay (Beets) Serkowski.
Ron is now happily reunited with the love of his life, Judith K. (Wetter) Beets. Married at St. Rose
Parish (Cuba City, WI), Ron and Judy would share 55 years of marriage together. Their family
began in Cuba City, WI with the birth of their first two children, Michael Beets(RoAnn) of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Michelle Clark (Tom) of Buckhorn, NM. After relocating to Burlington, WI in 1964, Ron and Judy made two more additions to their family, Lisa Fricke (Bill) of Hazelhurst, WI and Scott Beets (Melody) of Edgerton, WI. Their children inherited their parents’ love, work ethic, and resourcefulness.
Ron leaves behind four grandchildren and a greatgrandchild who were a matter of great pride,
admiration, and joy to him: Robert Beets, son of Michael Beets and Jeane Northey, Maya Bakalars, daughter of Lisa Fricke and Paul Fidler, Atlas Bakalars, son of Maya and Michaell Bakalars, and Haley and Eric Beets, daughter and son of Scott and Melody (Richards) Beets.
Ron was ever entertained by their intelligence and creative spirits and enjoyed sharing their laughter.
Ron was a father and friend and leaves behind a wealth of knowledge of life and lessons learned to his surviving family. Quick with a tool and the ability to fix just about anything, his determination and dedication to provide for his family was never ending. Known to those that fished with him as “The Catking” for his love of catching the whiskered river fish, amongst the many other species he pursued. He supported his children’s endeavors in life both financially and spiritually at every opportunity given to him. He will also be missed by his very spoiled kitty Princess Zena.
Cremation will be completed by Nimsgern Funeral Services in Woodruff, WI and his ashes will join Judy’s to be spread in places that hold their spirit and fond memories.
