Rose Simon

Rose Marie Simon, 68, of Phillips, passed away Saturday, May 28 at Regency Assisted Living Facility after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in La Crosse, WI on September 6, 1953, to Kenneth and Beulah (Schlicht) Hanson. She married Art Simon in 1984, he preceded her in death in 2016.
She is survived by three sisters; Susie Hanson (La Crosse, WI), Judy Sanders (West Salem, WI), and Bev (Ron) Esser (Kirksville, MO), countless nieces and nephews, and her best friend Bev Bedard who she thought the world of.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Beulah Retzlaff, Lorena Haney, Rita Sanders, Jane Hanson; and brothers, John Haney and Kenneth Hanson.
Rose worked for many years at Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home until her retirement in 2018. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to thank Hospice, the staff at Regency, and Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home for the wonderful care given to Rose and for all of the help after her passing. Also, a special thanks to Bev Bedard who was always there for Rose through the good times and bad.
Per Rose’s wishes, no services will be held. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
