Samuel Adam Massa, "Superman Sammy", age 3, Tomahawk, gained his angel wings on June 26, 2014, five days before his 4th birthday.
Sammy was born July 1, 2010 in Rhinelander, the son of Adam and Jennifer (Kim) Massa. Samuel was 22 months old when he was diagnosed with (PNET) Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumor stage 4. Sammy loved cooking - especially making pancakes. He also enjoyed playing with heavy equipment and going to the gravel pit.
Survivors include: parents, Adam and Jennifer Massa, of Tomahawk; siblings, A.J. Massa, Kallie Massa, and Riley Massa; maternal grandparents, Insuk Kim (Dennis Ducommun), of Gleason; paternal grandparents, Joe and Donna Massa, of Tomahawk; aunts and uncles, Samantha and Kyle Bloch, of Merrill, Holly and Kendall Gullo, of Wausau, Stacy Smith, of Irma, Angie Massa, of Irma, Ted Massa, of Tomahawk, Johnny Foreman, of Tomahawk, Jessica Foreman, of Lake Tomahawk. Sammy is further survived by many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather - John Foreman.
Funeral Services for Sammy will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home on Sunday, June 29th from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour service at 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
