SANDRA KOZAK
Sandra Mae Sandy” Kozak, 70, of Phillips, Town of Flambeau, went to meet her heavenly Father at her home on Sunday, November 25, 2018, after a 3 year long hard fought battle with cancer while under the care of her family and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice.
She was born in Park Falls, WI, on November 13, 1948, to Norman and Elaine (Breitenfeld) Wehrman. Her early life and schooling was in Park Falls, graduating from Park Falls High School in 1966. On December 3, 1966. she married George Kozak at Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls. After George got out of the service they made their home in the Town of Flambeau for 48 years.
She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was employed by Time Federal Bank for 32 years. In her free time she enjoyed several trips to Las Vegas, Florida, out West and the U.P., casino trips, gardening, and fishing.
She is survived by her husband George of 1 week short of 52 years. Three children, Shari (Todd) Sheehy, Bruce, WI, Daniel and Brian of Phillips, nine grandchildren, Marlana, Mason, Aimee, Amanda, Brandon, Chelsea,, Jacob, Kyle, and Bradi; by five great grandchildren; by five sisters, Pamela (Richard) Koenig, Park Falls, Debra (Larry) Sahm, Chippewa Falls, Linda (Steve) Daoust, Long Prairie, MN, Brenda (Louie) Kotora, Fifield, and Renee (Dan) Kundinger, Phillips; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Elaine Wehrman, in-laws George and Ruth Kozak, infant great granddaughter, Kayden Warren; two brother-in-laws, Fred Zink and John Koenig; and by two sister-in-laws, Karen Zink and Lynda Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 1, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Phillips with Pastor John Trewyn officiating. Inurnment will be in the Saint Patrick Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
