Scott "Miigwaniban" Chapman Sr., age 67 of Lac du Flambeau, WI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 26th at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI.
Scott was always dependable and hard-working proud father and grandfather. He loved his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy. He enjoyed his retirement by fishing, hunting, golfing, and watching as many baseball games as he could. He coached little league for many years in LDF, and volunteered on the fire department. He was an avid supporter for all of his children's extracurricular activities. He traveled all over for martial arts tournaments, baseball games, and powwows. He loved to make things to contribute toward their regalia.
Scott loved traditional foods like venison, walleye, and wildrice. His favorite colors are blue and yellow, like the Milwaukee Brewers. He was spiritual and followed traditional Native American beliefs.
His legacy was to have his children to raise their children to be strong-willed big-hearted and hard-working like he was.
Traditional Native American Services for Scott will be on Monday, February 28th at the Lac du Flambeau Bingo Hall starting at 4:00 pm and continue Tuesday, March 1st at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Memorial Cemetery.
Family prefers no flowers, but plants are acceptable.
