Sharon R. Laporte

Sharon R. LaPorte, age 78 of St. Germain, passed away October 17, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sharon was united in marriage to Bernard LaPorte August 13, 1955, he survives. Sharon is also survived by a grandson, Adam (Cherie) Ruenger; Son-in-law, Dale Ruenger and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Ruenger, her parents Frank and Grace Barthels, among other family members.
Sharon was a master gardner, extraordinary seamstress and upholsterer. She enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling and entertaining family and friends. Sharon was active with the friends of the Plum Lake Library.
Sharon’s family would like to thank the Marshfield Clinic and Howard Young Medical Center ICU staff for their caring service.
Memorial Service will be held at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI on Thursday, October 23rd at 7:00 PM with a visitation from 5:00 PM till time of service.
