Sharon A. Tobias

Sharon A. Tobias, 81, of Minocqua (formerly Shell Lake) died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at her residence. She was born on October 31, 1943 in Webster, WI to Otto and Lela (Green) Aubert. Sharon was raised in Webster and graduated from Webster High School in 1961. She was married in Webster, WI on August 20, 1966 to Donald Tobias.

After high school, Sharon first worked in the Insurance industry as a key punch operator in St. Paul Minnesota before moving to Shell Lake, Wisconsin in 1970. Taking care of her children and the home front came first, but she eventually started working for Washburn County Health and Human Services until her retirement in 2000.

In retirement, Sharon was an active member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Shell Lake and Calvary Lutheran Church, Minocqua. She took pride in coordinating dinners for church services and generously gave her time to assist with various functions. Her warm and giving spirit touched everyone she encountered, and her kindness and helpfulness were hallmarks of her character. Sharon left a lasting positive impact on those who knew and loved her.

Sharon was also incredibly active and loved staying on the move. Whether walking outdoors or spending several days a week working out at the fitness center, she embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. A proud fan of Wisconsin sports, she never missed a chance to cheer on her kids, grandchildren, or favorite sports teams.

In addition to her many talents, Sharon was a fantastic cook who delighted family and friends with many dishes. Her meals brought people together, creating cherished memories around the table. She also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, finding joy and relaxation in piecing them together

Sharon loved a good time and a good party, bringing her contagious laughter and warm presence to every gathering. Her ability to make others feel welcome and her zest for celebrating life will always be remembered.

She is survived by her son Tim (Jenny) Tobias of Minocqua; grandchildren: Garrett, Wesley (Christina), Stanley (Brook), and Caroline; great-grandchildren: Ruby, Archer, Sofia, and Sierra; very special first cousin: Arne (Harriet Rice) Ardell; nephews: Bryan (Pam) Aubert and their children, Nathan, and Emma; Kevin (Amanda) Aubert; son-in-law Sean (Terrie) Stettler; many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Don Tobias; daughter Heather (Tobias) Stettler; parents, Otto and Lela Aubert; brother Dennis Aubert and Lynda (Thompson) Aubert.

 Celebration of Life Services for Sharon will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 11:00 am at Salem Lutheran Church, 803 2nd Street, Shell Lake, WI with a visitation from 9:30 am till time of service.
