SHIRLEY MOLNAR
Shirley Ann Molnar, 76, Phillips, Town of Elk, died at her home on Monday, November 9, 2015, while under the care of her family, Angel of Wheels, and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. She was born on January 16, 1939, the daughter of Herbert and Esther Hanke. She was married to George Molnar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 30, 1957. She and George operated a dairy farm in the Town of Elk, and she was employed as a cook by the Phillips High School for 29 years, retiring in 2010 at the age of 71. She was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church of Phillips, and was active in her Homemakers Club. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, gardening, was an avid Packer, Brewer, and Badger fan, and loved the holidays with her family.
She is survived by three children, Kathy (Laddy) Hlavacek, Minnesota, George (Marcia “Marcy”), Phillips, and David (Faith), Appleton, WI; by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and by one brother, Robert (Carol) Hanke, Altoona, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on March 19, 2004; and is also preceded in death by one son, Robert..
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 13, at Saint John Lutheran Church with Reverend Thomas Reiff officiating. Interment will be on the family farm at a later date. Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips after 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 12, and at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
