Shirley Krueger, 85, 1720 Jersey Lane, Tomahawk, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, August 11, 2013 under the care of Ministry Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born June 18th, 1928 in the town of Cassian, to the late William and Hertha (Sorges) Seslar. She and Ralph "Okie" Krueger were married June 21, 1947 in Tomahawk. She was a graduate of Tomahawk High School. With her late husband they owned and operated the Krueger Shoe Store and later the House of Flowers in Tomahawk. She was an active member of St. Pauls Ev. Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and volunteered for many years. Shirley is survived by her children: daughter, Linda Dobbs, Tomahawk; son, Greg (Chris) Krueger, Santa Barbara, CA, and their children: Aimee, Solvang, CA; Jesse (Suzanne) and daughter Lily, Escondido, CA, and Jason (Silvana) and son Bjorn, Stockholm, Sweden. daughter, Debra Johnson and children: Scooter Johnson (Angie) and their children: Allistair and Zinnia, Hyattsville, MD, and Amanda Johnson, Key West, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph "Okie" Krueger, son Todd Krueger, brothers: Robert and Homer Seslar, sisters: Joanne Herman, Helen Bohl, Elaine Kehrberg and Betty King, and son-in-law Charles Dobbs. The Funeral Service for Shirley will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday August 16th, 2013 at St. Paul's Church in Tomahawk, with Rev. Mark Schoenherr officiating. Visitation will be from 12Noon until the time of service 1PM. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery to follow. Memorials appreciated to Ministry Hospice and St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church.
