Sophia Wiles

Sophia Wiles, age 90, a resident of Prentice, WI, passed away at Riverview Nursing Home in Tomahawk, WI. She was born January 19, 1934, in Abbotsford, WI, to parents Carl and Theresa Erickson. She attended Phillips High School. 

Sophia was a stay-at-home mom, and in her later years she worked at Northern Cabinets in Rib Lake. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Medford. Sophia loved to do embroidery and quilting. She enjoyed reading. Her favorite past time though was fishing, she could sit in a boat for hours, with her son Jim.

Sophia was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Wallace "Wally" Wiles; parents; siblings: Carl “Curly” Erickson Jr., Eugene “Squeak” Erickson, Audrey Haskins; great-grandchild: Kelsey Cowan; daughter-in-law: Colleen Brown Wiles; son-in-law: Martin Netland. She is survived by her children: DuWayne “Butch” (Dale) Wiles, Julie Wiles Netland, LJames “Jim” Wiles, Jerry Wiles; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and numerous other relatives and many friends. 

Sophia is now with the love of her life!

A graveside service will be held in May of 2025.
