Statia Isaacson, age 96, W11621 US Hwy. 8, Tripoli, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk.
Statia was born September 17, 1917 in Red Wing, Iowa, the daughter of Christopher and Katherine (Gibson) Stillings. She married Raymond Isaacson on September 17, 1937 in Tomahawk; he passed away in 1967. Statia spent 16 years in Milwaukee, and moved back to the Tripoli area in 1967. She was employed as a cook with the Tripoli School for 12 years. Statia was a former 4-H Leader, Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader. She loved flowers, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Prentice.
Survivors include: children, Pamela (Richard Kurszewski) Martin, Tripoli, Steven (Jody) Isaacson, Tripoli; brother, Max Stillings, Appleton, grandchildren, Robert (Loralee) Isaacson, Michelle Isaacson, Joshua (Brenda) Isaacson, Zachary (Katina) Isaacson, Kara (Kyle) Petrashek. She is further survived by 13 Great Grandchildren. Statia was preceded in death by her parents, husband,Raymond, sons, Pete and Mike, brothers, Howard Stillings, John {Duetch} Stillings, sisters, Juno Kretlow, and Shirley Kellam.
A Memorial Service for Statia Isaacson will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Prentice. Rev. Dr. Gary Uttech will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday the 12th from 10:00 AM until the hour of services at 11:00 AM.
