Stella Horban

Stella Horban, age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2015 at the Golden Living - Riverview Nursing Home under the care of AsceraCare Hospice. Stella was born on May 2, 1925 in Thorp, Wisconsin to Sylvester and Helen Lozynski. She married Samuel Horban in August of 1946; He preceded her in death in 2002. Stella worked in assembly at Monogram Models and also at E.A. Carey Company both in Chicago. Stella and her husband also owned and operated Horban's Lake Aire on Lake Alice for many years. She was an excellent seamstress, and she also loved to knit. Stella was an avid bowler, loved to travel and was a great homemaker. Stella is survived by: Daughter RoJenne (Larry) Herrmann Tomahawk Grandchildren Marcus (Tracy) Gand Abilene, TX 2 Sisters Alice Scherr Tomahawk Clara (Harvey) Kapke Tomahawk The Funeral Service for Stella Horban will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Stanley, Wisconsin. Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk is assisting the family with arrangements.
