Steven Reynolds, 64, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on December 28, 2022, in Medford. He was born to Jerome and Mary-Ann (Schopper) Reynolds on February 24, 1958, in Marshfield, WI.
He graduated from Colby High School then joined the workforce at a young age. He was employed at Hadley Office Supplies for nearly a decade before going to work at Marquip in Phillips where he stayed for over 20 years until he was forced into retirement due to health problems. He married Tammie Maki on July 15, 1983, in Wausau. After starting their family, they moved to Prentice making that their home until their children were out of school. He enjoyed cookouts with his family, partying with Dano, watching NASCAR, and hunting. Whenever he was visiting the local taverns, his daughter, Ashley, and niece, Buffy, would find him and make him pay for their drinks.
One of his families’ favorite memories of him was when he, Dano, and James got lost in the woods after having a few drinks by Cranberry Lake. They thought it would be a good idea to follow the powerline wires to get back to the highway faster. They were walking circles in the swamp for over 6 hours and had to start their hats and money on fire to stay warm. They finally found a small cabin and were able to call their family to come get them. There was never a dull moment with Steven around and his presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie; children, Amber (Bob) Schantner, Ashley (Craig) Hamilton, Ann (Ron); brother, Dennis (Kate); sister-in-law, Linda; 11 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome, and Marry-Ann; brother, Danny; father-in-law, Sidney Maki; mother-in-law, Ruth Engels; and step-mother-in-law, Eleanor Maki.
