Sylvia Venne

Sylvia M. Venne, age 87, long-time Tomahawk resident, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Marywood Nursing Home in Wausau. Sylvia was born May 1, 1922 in Harrison, the daughter of Samuel and Gertrude (Amelse) Boyer. She married Arthur Venne on July 17, 1941 in Harrison; he passed away in 1998. Sylvia was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: 4 sons William (Gail) Venne Bonduel Joseph Venne Wausau Richard Venne St. Paul, Minnesota Gregory (Leeann) Venne Wausau Sylvia is further survived by 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son - Adrian. A Mass of Christian Burial for Sylvia Venne will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday the 10th from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at St. Augustine Cemetery in the town of Harrison.
