Terry Wayne Winchell

Terry Winchell, 70, of Tomahawk, WI passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Terry was born September 18, 1954, the son of John and Violet (Czerwinski) Winchell, who adopted him after he had lived for six months in an orphanage in LaCrosse. Terry’s 40-year career in finance included being an instructor for the Wis. Banking Association. He moved to Tomahawk in 2001, where he became very active at St. Mary’s Church. Terry generously volunteered as a lector, helping at the annual festival, serving on committees, and even joining the choir on their trip to perform at Carnegie Hall. He enjoyed music of all types, Bombay gin, and trips to Las Vegas. Terry will be remembered for his sense of humor and loving spirit. A Mass of Christian Burial for Terry will take place at St. Mary’s Church on Wed. January 22 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon. Krueger-Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
