Thomas 'Tom' Gessler, age 75, W5950 Greenwood Road, Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
Tom was born September 25, 1937 in Milwaukee, the son of Leslie and Hildegarde (Birk) Gessler. He married Dawn Erickson on August 28, 1972 in Random Lake. Early in his career, Tom worked as a machinist with Evinrude in Milwaukee. He moved to Tomahawk, where he owned and operated Gessler's Pine Ridge Mink Ranch for 38 years. Tom was a great joke and story-teller, and enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, polka dancing, playing cribbage, and watching the Lawrence Welk and Molley B. Polka Shows. He had a special love for his dogs - Kizzy and Chloe. Tom was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.

Tom is further survived by 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for Tom Gessler will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
