Thor Feind, age 86, 803 W. Leather Ave., Tomahawk, passed away April 3, 2012 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Thor was born July 6, 1925 in Tomahawk, the son of Henry and Agnes (Paszek) Feind. He married Dorothy Weiter on June 25, 1947 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. Thor was employed with Tomahawk Tissue Mill from 1963 until the time of his retirement in 1987. Thor was an excellent rock mason, and used his skills to build his own home. He enjoyed fishing and hunting - especially duck hunting, trapping, snowmobiling, and being with his family. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Wife Dorothy Feind Tomahawk Daughters Dorothy "Sis" (David) Jorgensen Tomahawk Julie (Arnie) Gasper Gleason Brother Leonard "Jim" (Lucy) Feind Milton, Washington Sister Phyllis Ouimette Hazelhurst Thor is further survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son - Mark in 1985, son - John in 1998, and grandson - Jeff in 1992. A Mass of Christian Burial for Thor Feind will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at Krueger Family Funeral Home on Wednesday April 4th from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Rites will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Mary's Legacy Campaign.
