Vance Grubbs, Sr., age 47, of Brantwood, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Vance was born May 15, 1965 in Tomahawk, the son of Howard and Louise (Marheine) Grubbs. Vance attended Tripoli grade school, graduated from Prentice High School, where he held state and national baseball records. He earned his Associates Degree in Law Enforcement from Nicolet College, and was employed with the Park Falls, Phillips, Price County, and later Mosinee Police Departments. He was most recently employed with Georgia Pacific in Phillips for the past 7 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing baseball and softball.

Vance is further survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and future step daughter, Ashlee Collins. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard, in 1996.
Funeral services for Vance will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will follow in the Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Krueger Family Funeral Home and again on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
