Vera A. vonSchrader, age 69, of 215 W. Mohawk Drive, Tomahawk, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Golden Living-Golden Age Center in Tomahawk.
Vera was born on November 9, 1938 in Milan, Wisconsin to Elmer & Marcella Bunkelman. She married Francis vonSchrader on May 5, 1962 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Vera graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Sociology. She had worked as a social worker in Eau Claire and Wausau. She moved to Tomahawk in 1976 and worked at Sacred Heart Hospital for many years and later in the Clerk's office for the City of Tomahawk. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Vera is further survived by 12 Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Vera vonSchrader will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Parish Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call at the church Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to the Northwood's Serenity Alzheimer's Unit at Golden Age in Tomahawk.
