Victor H. Cottrell, age80, of 728 Charles Ave., Tomahawk passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
Vic was born on April 23, 1930 in Tomahawk to Howard and Lillian (Michelson) Cottrell. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was married to Virginia R. Alorie on January 6, 1951. Vic had been employed for 32 years at the Owens-Illinois mill in Tomahawk as fire chief and mobile equipment supervisor, he retired in 1991. Vic was a former member of the Tomahawk Jaycee's, he had served on an Advisory Board for Nicolet College, he belonged to numerous automobile clubs and was instrumental in forming the Northwood's Cruisers car club in Tomahawk. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

3 Sons, Michael (Sue) Cottrell Saltsburg, PA Lance (Mary) Cottrell Tomahawk Mark (Kayla) Cottrell also of Tomahawk.

Vic is further survived by 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Vic Cottrell will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Irma.
