VICTORIA PALMER
Victoria A. Palmer, 90, of Phillips died at the Lakeside Villa on Tuesday, February 17th, while under the care of her children, Lakeside Villa caregivers, and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on September 29, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Bettina (Pugliese) Fonte. She attended schools in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Victoria married Donald J. Palmer on December 8, 1945. She and Donald owned and operated Quality Meat Market and Spanky’s Bar and Grill in Kenosha. She attended St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips. In her free time she enjoyed quilting and sewing. Vicki was a very loving and caring person. She left a smile (or chuckle) wherever she went. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and had a special place in her heart for her great grandchildren.
Victoria is survived by five children. Leonard Palmer of Kenosha, Laurel (Arthur) Decesaro of Roswell, Georgia, Lynne ( Mario) Morrone of Phillips, David Palmer of Phillips, Michael (Virginia) Palmer of Phillips, special friend Daryl Varner of Phillips, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Thomas Fonte of Redondo Beach, California and one sister, Betty (Clyde) Johnson of Kenosha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on May 3, 2004; by one son Donald F. Palmer; by four brothers, Leonard Fonte, Patrick Fonte, Frank Fonte, and Antonio Fonte; one sister Sylvia Fonte; and by one grandson, Patrick Decesaro.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 5 at St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the funeral Mass. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, March 5, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
