Virginia "Giny" Foreman, age 87, longtime resident of Tomahawk passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 following a massive stroke in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Over the past 4 years she had lived in Menomonee at Our House Assisted Living and later at the Dunn County Health Care Center. Both were homes away from home for her and she was surrounded by many loving and caring people. Virginia was born on March 18, 1923 to Clifford and Clara Fern (Kidd) Davis in Richland County, Wisconsin. She grew up in Richland Center, and graduated from Richland Center High School in 1941. On January 22, 1942 Giny married her high school sweetheart, Robert D. Foreman in Richland Center. Together they traveled to many military posts both in the United States and Germany. Virginia had been the secretary at Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk for many years. She had been a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was active in the Grace Bible Study, Northwoods Garden Club and had volunteered at Treehaven. She loved cooking, baking, collecting recipes, sewing, homecrafting, nature, and was an avid photographer. Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Dianne (Peter) Lindner San Antonio, TX Nancy (Ken) Olson Boyceville, WI 3 Sons, Robert Foreman Gene Foreman John Foreman all of Tomahawk Brother, Norman (Alberta) Davis Richland Center, WI Brother-in-law, Edsel Fishel Janesville, WI Sister-in-law, Del Lohmeier Tomahawk Virginia is further survived by 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister (Verna Jean), and two great grandchildren (Sammy and Katy).
Funeral Services for Virginia Foreman will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home on Monday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. "God saw fit to bless our lives with the love of this woman. May we all remember her in sharing that love with others."
