Vivian J. Richardson, of Woodruff passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 7, 2018 at the age of 80. She was born on January 18, 1938 in Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Delbert and Clara Richardson.
Vivian is survived by her brothers Terry Richardson, Ed Richardson, Tim Richardson, and Jack (Carol) Richardson. She is also survived by her sisters Sally (Ed) Rousseau, Marlene Filbrandt, Joy (Bob) Collis, and Pat Destache. She is further loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her parents, Vivian was also preceded in death by her brothers Harvey Richardson, Dick Richardson and Donnie Richardson.
Vivian graduated from Minocqua High School in 1956. She attended Superior State Teachers College then later transferred to the University of Arizona to accomplish her degree in Business Administration. Vivian enjoyed traveling around the world with a couple of girlfriends and they settled in New York City. Vivian worked for Savat Tabios & Bulk, an advertising agency in New York City.
Unfortunately Vivian was involved in an auto accident while in New York City. At that point she returned to Wisconsin to recover and be cared for by her loving family and friends. She was definitely a one of a kind “cool cat” and lived a great life. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Vivian would definitely agree with this statement. Her loving family has always made sure that she was well taken care of. The Richardson Family is extremely grateful for the friendship, compassion and dedication that caregiver, Natalie Grass showed Vivian. Through thick and thin, Natalie was there until the very end. We will be forever grateful…thank you Natalie!
A graveside service for Vivian will be held Friday, May 11th at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodruff, WI at 3:30 in the afternoon. Followed by food and fellowship from 4-6 pm at Nimsgern Funeral Home in Woodruff, WI.
