WALTER MERRILL
Walter Sylvester Merrill, 63, Kennan, died at his home on Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born in Barstow, California, on November 14, 1951, the son of Richard and Theresa (Sajna) Merrill. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Catawba. He enjoyed antique cars, ships, Western movies, anything with antiques on TV, riddles, jokes, trivia memories, and while living in California, caring for and riding his horse.
He is survived by his mother, Theresa Merrill, Kennan; by 11 brothers and sisters, Joan (Joe) Steinke, Mission Viejo, CA, Renae (Marc) Campbell, Apple Valley, CA, Richard, Kennan, Robert (Lynn), Corvallis, Oregon, Gayl (Duke) Esch, Salem, OR, John (Susan), Florida, Mary Merrill, Washington, Barbara (Aaron) Idouchi, Apple Valley, CA, Linda Merrill, Kennan, Bradley, Corvallis, Oregon, and Brenda (Chris) Athaipe, Mission Viejo, CA; he was also and uncle to 65 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard; by one brother, Larry; and by one great grand nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 14, at St. Paul the apostle Catholic Church in Catawba with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

Inurnment will be in the Saint Patrick Cemetery in Phillips.
