Wanda Orcutt, age 94, a longtime resident of Tomahawk, passed away on April 8, 2016 at Stone Crest Assisted Living Facility in Wausau.
Wanda was born on August 3, 1921 in Mingo, Iowa to William & Floy Hays. She was married to Robert D. Orcutt on October 29,1943 in Tomahawk, he passed away in 2001. While her husband served during World War II Wanda moved to California and worked in a factory as one of the “Rosie the Riveter’s.” Wanda had been employed first at the Tomahawk Boat Factory and later at Harley Davidson. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tomahawk where she served as a greeter and on the altar guild; she also helped Aid Association for Lutherans and at the Tomahawk Emergency Food Pantry.

Funeral Services for Wanda will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
