Wayne C. Mueller, age 82 of Minocqua, WI passed away on Thursday, January 30th at the Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. Wayne was born on July 5, 1937 in Wausau, WI the son of Carl and Dorothy (nee Raymond) Mueller. Wayne attended a country school as a youth and Wausau East High School before joining the Army and serving from 1954 till receiving his honorable discharge in 1957. Wayne worked for Marathon Mill Works and Northern Valley Work shop as a supervisor. He was involved with the Civil Defense in Wausau and loved hunting and fishing and enjoying his time at his cottage spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved fishing with his friend Tony Stoltz and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Susan J. Meurett Mueller and by his beloved children Randy Mueller of Ashland, WI and Cindy (Gerald) Henning of Hutchinson, MN and was a proud grandfather of Wayne (Renee) Mueller, Joel (Tracy) Mueller, Blake Mueller, Brandy Kumera, Alexander (Melanie) Henning, Joseph Henning, Emily (Jesse) Stokies and by his great grandchildren Claire, Wyatt and Audrey Mueller, Gracy and Matthew Kumera, Grace, Zoey, Oliver, Mia and Adalie Mueller, Gavin, Lilleanne and Axel Henning and by Teagun and Bryce Stokies. Further survived by his siblings Rochelle Brewer of Arizona, Dennis Mueller of Wisconsin, Caryle (Delwin) Swanson of Wisconsin and Ronald (Patricia) Mueller of Wisconsin and by his in laws James Meurett, Lavern Meurett, Sally (Len) Sigler and by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Dorothy Mueller, 2 sisters in infancy by his in laws Burleigh and Katherine Meurette, Mary Mueller and by niece Marsha Swanson and nephews Chandler Schaffhausen and Mathew Meurette and by his father and mother in law Mark and Ellen Meurett.
Cremation took place and private family services will be held on Saturday, February 8th at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI.
