Wilburn "Will" Johnson, age 73, 919 Charlene Ave, Tomahawk, passed away September 12, 2007 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk.
Will was born October 26, 1933 in Crockettsville, Kentucky to Harlan and Mary Johnson. He married Mary Wellbaum on June 18, 1960 in Farmersville, Ohio. Will graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1953. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He lived in the Toledo, Ohio area for 15 years. Will was employed as a Process Engineer and held professional jobs with Black-Clausen, later moving to Tomahawk in 1982, where he was employed with Owens-Illinois and their successors until his retirement in October 1994. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from December 1954 - November 1956. Will was a member of the Somo Fish & Game Club, a lifetime member of Miami University Pulp and Paper Foundation, and a member of United Methodist Church in Tomahawk, where he served as treasurer for 12 years. Will was also active with the Tomahawk Food Pantry for many years. He enjoyed shooting trap, hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Will is further survived by 4 grandchildren - Luke, Elise, Emma, and Ellie. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
Funeral Services with Military Honors for Will Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007 from United Methodist Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Allen Poore-Christiensen will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service with Military Rites will take place on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens in Centerville, Ohio.
